SVP Urges Parents To Speak To School If Struggling With Back To School Costs
Parents who are struggling to meet the back to school costs are urged to raise the matter with the school and avail of the supports in place.
The advice from St Vincent de Paul comes as the charity urges the Education Minister to make free education a reality with proper funding for schools and supports for parents.
The charity revealed that there was a surge in call to their offices last month as parents struggle to meet the cost of back to school.
Gerry Garvey from St Vincent de Paul in Cork told RedFM News there are a lot of hidden costs associated with back to school.
