Syrian forces have captured an Irishman fighting with ISIS

The man was found in possession of an Irish passport

He was detained when patrols targeted a terror cell in the east of Syria on December 30th, along with 4 other men. 

The Department of Foreign Affairs says it's investigating the circumstances surrounding the arrests.
