The City Centre Movement Strategy Will Lay The Foundations For The Ireland 2040 Plan Here In Cork
That's according to Cork Chamber of Commerce who says the plan will require high-quality public transport to complement new developments coming on stream.
The initiative got off to a controversial start this year when the car ban on Patrick St was implemented.
It's due to be reintroduced in the coming weeks following increased consultation with traders who raised concerns about the impact it was having on business.
Speaking to RedFM News Thomas McHugh of Cork Chamber of Commerce says it's important that all stakeholders in Cork are on the one page as the Ireland 2040 plan could be transformative for Cork as a city:
