The ESB Have Apologised For A Technical Fault That Left Over 6,000 Customers Without Power In Cork City Last Night

The ESB have apologised for a technical fault that left over 6,000 customers without power in Cork City last night.

A fault at Liberty Street caused the outage from 8.20pm, affecting the city's St Patrick’s Street, MacCurtain Street and areas to the north and west, from St Luke's west to Gurranabraher.

While much of the city's power has now returned, the ESB are still working on a fault in the Kilbarry area, which they hope will be restored by this afternoon.

Customers can look for updates on the ESB Networks PowerCheck app, or view the power check facility on the company’s website: powercheck.ie
