The ESB's Urging People To Charge Mobile Phones And Check Torch Batteries
It's in case of further power cuts this evening
Lightning strikes knocked out supply to thousands of homes last night, and more storms are forecast today.
Here in Cork over 400 ESB customers were without power earlier today, with residents in Kanturk, Timoleague, Enniskeane, Killacloyne, and Castlelyons the worst affected.
A status yellow thunder warning is in place for Cork and the rest of Munster until 11pm tonight.
A weather advisory is also in place in Cork saying there is a 'significant risk' of spot flooding across the City and County.
