The Loss Of A Life During Strike Action Would Be A Devastating Blow For Firefighters In Cork 

That's according to Fire Service Union Representative Billy Crowley, who was speaking following the weekends overwhelming vote for industrial action by firefighters

The dispute arose after it emerged that all full-time firefighters in Ireland have received back money linked to pay restoration, except those in Cork city.

The Council says the action of firefighters is of "serious concern" and states it has paid firefighters all increases due but cannot pay them back-pay until they comply in full with the terms of the Public Service Agreement.
