The SDLP and Sinn Fein have rejected calls for Stormont to have a role in the final say on the Irish backstop part of Brexit talks.

The party leaders think it would be unacceptable as it would give the DUP a veto for any possible outcome. 

They were talking after a meeting with the EU's chief negotiator Michel Barnier in Brussels.

Sinn Fein's Michelle O'Neill says the issue of what to do about the border has been rumbling on for far too long.
