This Year's BT Young Scientist Of The Year May Have Moved Us A Step Closer To The Future

Adam Kelly from Skerries Community College in Dublin won the top prize of €7,5000

He will now compete in the European Union contest for Young Scientists in September.

His project on quantum science examines the creation and use of computers that are millions of times faster than those we use today.

He says one of the best things about winning is the chance to represent Ireland abroad.
