Thousands of people are expected to flock to the Cork Summer Show at the Curaheen Showgrounds this weekend
The event, which has been running for more than 200 years, attracted over 50,000 visitors last year with similar numbers expected again this year
It is Cork’s oldest and largest agricultural, gardening, food and family event and this year the organisers have teamed up with Ford which is celebrating 100 years in Cork.
Ford is appealing to owners of vintage Ford cars, vans, tractors and trucks to meet up at the site of the old Ford factory on the Marina in Cork and travel in convoy to Curraheen Showgrounds where they'll remain on display for the two days of the Summer Show.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Chairman of the Cork Summer Show Gerard Murphy says the show is unique.
