Travellers hiding identity to secure private rented accommodation

That's according to the Cork Travellers Women's Network who say members are pretending to be settled as a means to secure accommodation.

Figures from the newly released National Traveller Survey found that only 5% of people say they would opt for private rented accommodation however 48% say their ideal place to live would be in a standalone or private house.

Speaking to RedFM News Bridget Carmody of Cork Travellers Women's Network, says members who opt for rented accommodation are facing difficulties in securing a place.
