Trees down and truck overturned on Cork roads
Picture shows tree down on the Fota road in Cobh The stormy weather is causing chaos for the country's transport network. No flights have been able to take off from Cork Airport since 7.30 this morning - with five incoming flights diverted to Shannon and 1 diverted to Dublin... This afternoon's Warsaw flight which was due at 14.45 is not now due until 8.45 tonight... Irish Rail says trains between Cork and Mallow are running 30 minutes behind schedule due to high winds. On the roads a number of trees are down care is advised due to a fallen tree on the the Cobh road at Fota wildlife park and a truck has overturned on the M8 northbound between Junction 14 Fermoy North & Junction 13 Mitchelstown South which is blocking the right lane.
