Two Women (30s) Arrested In Relation To Suspected Theft From Shop In The City Yesterday
Goods worth over €1,400 were recovered following the incident in the city yesterday evening.
The women were brought to the Bridewell Garda Station and detained overnight.
One of the women has since been charged in relation to the incident and is due before the District Court this morning, while the second woman remains in custody.
Gardaí say the city is a safe place to shop but are reminding people to take care of their belongings.
They also say that a Crime Prevention Officer is available to speak to householders or business owners about ways to increase security.
