Wilton Community Action Group Describe Plans To Widen Wilton Road As A 'Wasteful Project'
An ill-conceived, wasteful project. That's how the Wilton Community Action Group have described plans by City Council to widen the Wilton Road.
Yesterday the group delivered over 300 submissions to the Council outlining their opposition to the project which could see some locals lose up to 7 metres of their front gardens
The Wilton Community Action Group, claim the plan to add two bus lanes and cycle lanes will do nothing to solve traffic congestion in the area due to pinch points at either end of the road.
Speaking to RedFM News, PRO of the Wilton Community Action Group John Bowman outlined what he hopes the petition will achieve
