Yellow snow-ice warning in place for Cork
The weather warning is in place until 9am tomorrow.
Snow has fallen across the city and county with East Cork getting the worst of the snow.
There are reports of heavy snowfall in Middleton and Youghal and Gardai are advising motorists to drive with care.
Meanwhile an orange snow ice warning has been extended until 6 o'clock for parts of the country.
The affected counties are in the east and south east.
Meteorologist with Met Eireann Deride Lowe outlines the worst affected areas this morning and into this afternoon.
