Alexandra Burke Dropped From Record Label

Alexandra Burke has been dropped from her record label.

The former X Factor winner was dropped from Decca records after her most recent album peaked at No.16 in the charts. Burke signed the deal with the label in December 2017 after reaching the final of Strictly Come Dancing in the same year.

An insider said: "Alexandra signed to Decca on a one-album deal an d they released her collection last year. If it had been a massive success, their relationship obviously would have continued but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

"The relationship has now come to an end after Decca decided not to proceed, so she is no longer signed. Instead she is just focusing on musical theatre rather than reviving her career as a solo artist."

Alexandra shot to number one with her debut 2009 album Overcome following her X Factor win but moved from Syco Records to RCA for her second album Heartbreak on Hold. Burke was then dropped from RCA after the album reached a high of number 18 the charts.
