Hugh Jackman Says 'The Greatest Showman 2' Could Be On The Way

Hugh Jackman has hinted that a second edition of The Greatest Showman is on the way!

The actor confirmed that a follow up to the hit musical is in the works. The first film starring Jackman as ringmaster P.T. Barnum was released in December 2017 with it's soundtrack selling over 1.6 million copies.

In a recent interview the lead actor suggested that a sequel "could be" happening but he's "not sure".

He said: "I'm being completely honest with you, there is talk of something going around but no one is really sure.

"But I think someone is working on a treatment for something...I know they are, they're working on a treatment for something."

In relation to his role for the next chapter of the story, Jackman was unsure how much he would be involved int he storyline saying, "I would like to be part of it for sure, and I don't know if it would be centered on my character.

"The other thing is, it did take eight years to get it made and that wasn't all eight years of convincing people. It takes a long time to write stuff."

Jackman is set to tour the UK and Europe in May & June singing songs from Broadway musicals and The Greatest Showman. He brings the show to Dublin's 3Arena on May 30th & 31st before finishing the tour at this year's Glastonbury.
