Ireland's Got Talent Nine-Year-Old Magician Amazes Ellen DeGeneres With His Tricks
Nine-year-old Aidan McCann from Kildare appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show to showcase his magic tricks.
McCann, a self-taught magician, used a deck of cards, a blank DVD, a DVD case and a notebook to wow the American chat show host.
DeGeneres was majorly impressed with Aidan's magic, so much so that she organised a surprise for the youngster. Ellen asked Aidan who was his favourite magician, with McCann naming Canadian-American Shin Lim as one of his top inspirations. Moments later, Shin Lim, who previously won America's Got Talent, appeared on a screen to tell Aidan that he had seen some of his tricks and thought he was "incredible". The magician then invited Aidan to be a special guest at one of his Las Vegas shows to which a shocked McCann responded "Oh. My. God."
Aidan appeared on this year's edition of Ireland's Got Talent and was a huge hit with viewers, making it to the live finals.
