Mick McCarthy Is Just One Of Guests On This Week's Late Late Show

Ireland football manager Mick McCarthy is just one of the guests on tonight's Late Late Show.

After returning to the role, McCarthy will speak to Tubridy about his career from being a professional football player to a manager and pundit. He will also discuss how he feels about his new, but familiar, job as Republic of Ireland manager and his upcoming comeback match later this month.

As today is International Women's Day, Lavinia Kerwick will also be on the show as the first women to waive her anonymity to speak publicly about her rape in 1992. She will be talking to Ryan about why we need to support people who have been through similar experiences and the conversation around consent in Ireland.

As it's 30th anniversary approaches, Ryan will be taking a step into the set of Fair City, showing a rare behind the scenes glimpse of Carrigstown while speaking to some of the soaps most-loved characters.

Nikki Bradley will also be joining Ryan on the show to speak about how she decided to take back her life after she got the news she would permanently rely on crutches after being diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer at the age of sixteen. She will talk about some of the gruelling endurance challenges she has completed to raise money for cancer charities.

Also on the show tonight is Aoife McGivney, a nurse at the Mater Hospital in Dublin. Aoife was on her regular commute to work when the bus driver suffered a heart attack earlier this week. She will discuss what went through her mind at that moment as she tried to stop the bus and how she performed CPR until the paramedics arrived.

Music tonight will be from Sibéal and Sophie Ellis Bextor.

The Late Late Show airs tonight at 9:35pm.
