AUDIO: Results & Reaction after Fitzgibbon Cup Openers for UCC & CIT
It was mixed fortunes for the Cork sides in their group openers of the Fitzgibbon Cup this afternoon.
The Cork Institute of Technology Hurlers, managed by Frank Flannery this year, went to UL where they lost 2-23 to 0-16.
University College Cork enjoyed a comfortable win over University of Ulster Jordanstown at the Mardyke, that ended 5-13 to 2-04. Alan Cadogan scored 3-01 for the Cork side, while Rob O'Shea also enjoyed a good return with 1-07, 0-6 of which came from free's.
