New Cork football boss Ronan McCarthy outlines changes to his panel

The Cork football panel will have a different look to it in 2018.

New Cork boss Ronan McCarthy met with the media for the first time at Páirc uí Chaoimh last night, and outlined the changes to the Rebels panel for next year.

Alan O'Connor is among those who won't be involved, the longstanding panel member and 2010 All Ireland winner has retired from intercounty football.

McCarthy and his selectors, Eamonn Ryan, Ciarán O'Sullivan and Seán Hayes, have also taken some players out of the panel, for the time being at least.

Among them are Tom Clancy, Dónal Óg Hodnett, Colm O'Driscoll annd Niall Coakley.

McCarthy spoke to RedFM Sport last night  in a wide ranging interview that will go out on the Big Red Bench this weekend - this is an excerpt of the chat where McCarthy outlines the squad changes.

Tune into the Big Red Bench on Cork's RedFM this Saturday and Sunday at 6pm to hear the chat with Ronan McCarthy in full.
