Car owners who permit learner drivers to use their vehicles unaccompanied could face prison or €2,000 fine. We speak to drivers about the clampdown. An anonymous caller said "Neil, this is an absolute joke. How do the guards expect young people to get to work places that are not on bus routes. We already pay extortionate prices on insurance premiums. Not all young drives go revving big exhausts in town at 3 am. 99% drive out of need to get out and about. Another way to turn the young generation against this government".
