Defence Forces hit out at HSA decision following crews exposure to asbestos

The association which represents the Defence Forces ' has hit out at the HSA's decision not to prosecute the Naval Service after some crew members were exposed to asbestos on ships last year.
PDFORRA say they had made an official complaint over some members being exposes to the chemical on board the The LE Ciara, LE Orla, and the LE Aoife.
The HSA say they are satisfied that the Naval Service have put 'satisfactory protocols in place' to deal with the issue in the future and following their investigation, there would be no prosecution.
Speaking to RedFM News, PDFORRA's Gerry Rooney says they will be following up on the issue if certain measures haven't been put in place:
