Cork Airport is now offering its passengers routes to ten North American destinations
WOW Air's new service via Reykjavík launched this morning and the airline says ticket sales are strong
It comes ahead of the launch of Norwegian Air's new route to Boston in July.
It emerged today that a group of aviation unions in the US are appealing against the US Department of Transportation's decision to allow Norweigan Air to operate flights between Ireland and the US.
They claim the airline is trying to avoid U.S labour rules by setting up an Irish base.
Speaking to RedFM News Conor Healy of Cork Chamber of Commerce says despite opposition they're focused on making transatlantic routes a success.
