Cork services uninterrupted by nurses and midwives strike

Nurses and midwives say no services in Cork will be disrupted by today's lunchtime protests against a fees hike. The INMO, SIPTU and the Psychiatric Nurses Association say they're holding lunchtime demonstrations in Cork, Dublin, Sligo and Drogheda against the proposed 50% hike in the annual retention fee. The unions say the rise is unfair because the rates for all other health workers will remain unchanged. General Secretary Liam Doran says the increase must be reversed. Click the PLAY button to hear.
