Cork Teens Warned About The Dangers Of Eating Disorders

The city coroner has warned teenagers about the dangers of eating disorders. Dr Myra Cullinane was speaking after an inquest into the tragic death of 19 year old Gráinne O’Donoghue from Carrigaline. The teenager, had struggled with anorexia for almost seven years before she collapsed at home on the 4th of January and subsequently died. The teenager died from sudden cardiac death associated with low potassium caused by anorexia and bulimia. The coroner, Dr Myra Cullinane, returned a verdict of death due to misadventure.
