CUH Attempt To Restrain Flu Outbreak

Visitor restrictions remain in place at Cork University Hospital, where there has been an outbreak of influenze in two wards and one case of Swine Flu has been confirmed. Patients at the Hospital can only receive one named visitor a day as hospital management attempt to ensure the outbreak doesn’t spread. Meanwhile, Visitor restrictions remain in place at Kerry General Hospital - and an outright ban has been introduced at Tralee Community Nursing Unit - because of a flu outbreak. The HSE says the ban has been put in place to curb the spread of the illness. The public are asked not to attend the nursing unit in Tralee at all, whilst only two named visitors are allowed per patient at Kerry General.
