Former Debenhams workers say they feel very let down by the Government

330 workers at the two former Debenhams stores in Cork have been battling with the company for a year in a campaign which saw them stage protests and sit in's 

After 12 months it looks like their bitter dispute may finally be nearing an end as they are in talks with the state training agency SOLAS on the provision of a €3 million training and education fund.. 

Valerie Conlon, shop steward at the Patrick Street store told RedFM news while Debenhams closed without warning and walked away from their commitments to staff, workers felt abandoned by the Government:
