Digital hub in a rural area of North Cork is a "lifeline"
Those engaged in online learning and working from home say the so-called "drive through" broadband is a "godsend"
The sight of people sitting in their cars at Laharn heritage centre in Kilshanning has become the norm, as people find the broadband signal there is more reliable than their home broadband
The heritage centre is 16km away from Mallow and on foot of the broadband rollout by the Council for rural communities, they now have a dedicated office at the centre for anyone who wishes to use it for work and have also open place workspaces
The Irish Examiner reports that the County Council is expected to shortly announce their plans for a further rollout of new digital hubs across the county
