Efforts To Save Spike Island Project

Efforts will be made today to try and persuade Failte Ireland bosses to reconsider their decision to pull funding from a major tourism project in Cork harbour. It comes after the local authority's plan to turn Spike Island into a major tourist attraction was refused the 4 million euro needed to kickstart the iniatitive. County manager Martin Riordan is meeting Bord Failte in Dublin today to try and save the project.
