Former Amgen site to be discussed at County Hall later

The future of the site, which has lain idle since 2006, is to be examined


The future of one of the most valuable commercial and industrial sites in Cork will be discussed at County Hall today.

The global biotech giant Amgen announced in 2006 that it was to create 1,000 jobs on the site in Carrigtwohill, but just four years later the firm pulled out of the plan and it has been lying idle ever since
