Half of adults in Ireland under the age of 35 say they're stressed regularly
That's according to the annual WIN World Survey, which questioned people from 34 countries about the Covid-19 pandemic.
It found three-quarters of Irish people feel they're healthy or very healthy.
However, one in six people say they smoke regularly, and Ireland has the second-highest rate of alcohol consumption among the countries surveyed.
Richard Colwell, CEO of RED C Research, who carried out the survey here, says the results show the pandemic has impacted younger people more:
"They are the most likely to change their behaviour in the past year, so they're most likely to improve their participation in exercise and to feel they're more healthy, so despite the fact that they're more stressed, maybe that's driving that, they are actually trying to overcome it with more exercise and feel more healthy generally, but certainly the pandemic appears to have put the younger generation in Ireland, under more stress than ever before."
