INMO says it's still awaiting response from government on claim for extra holidays for staff

The union says it submitted a request for 10 additional days last November as workers are "exhausted" dealing with the pandemic.
The issue of compensation will be discussed at its annual conference, which kicks off today.
The two day online event will also hear calls for better supports for healthcare workers dealing with 'long Covid'.
General Secretary of the INMO, Phil Ni Sheaghdha, says government needs to address the issue of extra annual leave:
"We have lodged the claim last November, we have not had a response from government, we have soundings that say yes, there is a real understanding that something will have to be done. We have refer the matter to the WRC and we are willing to be flexible in respect of when the additional time would apply but it is imperative that government respond to the very real ask here."
