Irish Water issue that impacted supply to customers in The Lough area has been resolved

In a statement issued to RedFM News Irish Water say an issue occurred with a valve in a water main today.
The water utility company says the issue has now been resolved and water supply should have returned to normal, however full water supply may take 2-3 hours to return as water refills the network.
Irish Water says it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand-washing.
Crews worked to fix the valve issue as quickly and as safely as possible in adherence with current HSE and government COVID-19 advice.
Water supply to customers in South Terrace, Gould Street, Greenmount, College Road, Friars Walk and surrounding areas may also have been impacted.

Irish Water and Cork City Council say they regret any inconvenience caused.
