Kinsale named as one of the top 9 places to retire in Europe
Travel + Leisure Magazine says the town offers a perfect location for retirees who enjoy the outdoors and describes the Old Head golf course as one of the most beautiful in the country.
Cork's food tradition and access to fresh seafood and cooking classes in the town also feature in the entry.
The magazine says living costs are comparable or slightly higher than in the US but highlights that it may be difficult for people who don't have substantial savings and an annual income of around $60,000 to secure a visa.
The Algarve in Portugal, Bordeaux in France and Valletta in Malta have also been named in the list.
