Man arrested over a series of armed raids in Cork

It follows raids in both Limerick and Tipperary.
Gardai have arrested a businessman whom they suspect was behind a spate of armed raids on filling stations in Co Cork, Limerick and Tipperary over the past month.
Detectives arrested the man in his late 40's when they foiled an attempted raid on a filling station at Larkins Cross near Ardnacrusha last night.
Gardai recovered a firearm and the man was arrested and brought to Henry Street Garda Station in Limerick for questioning about the raids.
