One in Eight Renters Paying Half Their Monthly Income On Rent
One in eight renters in Ireland are spending more than half of their monthly income on rent.
The Residential Tenancies Board also found that half of renters in Ireland are spending around a third of their take-home pay on rent.
There's a suggestion in the study that some landlords will look to leave the market in the coming years, which will increase pressure on supply and see rents increase quickly.
