People in low-lying areas of the city are being warned of minor flooding on Saturday morning

City Hall say there is also a risk of river, or fluvial, flooding late on Friday night into Saturday morning.
The Council says large amounts of rain and high tide at 6:40am on Saturday will result in flooding in the usual spots in the city centre;
- Morrison’s Quay
- Fr. Mathew Quay
- Fr. Mathew Street
- Union Quay
- Trinity Bridge
- South Terrace
- Rutland Street
- Sawmill Street
- Lavitts Quay
- Kyrls Street
- Kyrls Quay
- Crosses Green
- Proby’s Quay
- Sharman Crawford St
- Wandesford Quay
The Council's Flood Assessment Team is monitoring the situation closely and are asking people not to walk or drive through flooded areas or rivers.
