Programme of 1916 commemoration events launched in Cork

A special programme of events has been launched as part of the 1916 commemorations in Cork.
The Taoiseach and the Tánaiste were among those launching the plans which include the programme of events for 31 local authorities nationwide.
It will see 1800 initiatives across Ireland to mark the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising.
Leeside, the project was lead by Cork city and county councils with input from locals and community groups.
Speaking to RedFM News, Lord Mayor Cllr Chris O'Leary outlines some of the main events of the Cork Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme:
