Revenue officers seize over €20,000 worth herbal cannabis in the city

Over one kilo of drugs had been hidden in two stereo speakers sent from the UK and destined for an address in the city.

Revenue say this morning's find was a result of routine profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Marley.

Separately, Revenue also seized 9,400 cigarettes in Dublin Airport yesterday.

They were found in the checked baggage of a man and woman who had arrived from Romania and have a retail value of €6,500.
