The Road Safety Authority Is Appealing To All Road Users To Practice Extreme Caution During The Cold Snap

The Yellow Weater Warning remains in effect across Cork until Saturday
Showers of hail, sleet and snow are expected across the south of the country tonight as temperatures plummet to -2.
Motorists are advised that icy stretches can again be expected on untreated surfaces again tomorrow.
Long delays were reported on a number of routes earlier in particular the Cork to Kinsale road, Carrs Hill and on high ground in Mayfield, Glanmire and Cobh.
At one point this morning Anglesea Street gardai were dealing with 10 minor collisions in the city.
The RSA's Michael Rowland is advising motorists to leave plenty of time for their journey.
