Two men arrested after staff in a number of shops in the city were threatened with syringes
The incidents happened on Sunday evening
The men in their late 20s were arrested at separate locations in the city on Tuesday and taken to the Bridewell and Mayfield Garda Stations.
Officers questioned the men about robberies at an off-license on Douglas Street and a store on North Main Street on Sunday evening.
The men are originally from North Cork and have since been released.
