Health Minister signs authorisation for use of the Moderna vaccine

The Health Minister's signed the authorisation for use of the Moderna vaccine by vaccinators effective immediately.

It's after the first delivery arrived in Ireland yesterday.

Meanwhile, at a meeting of EU Ministers and health regulators today, Minister Donnelly called for an acceleration of the timeline for approval of the Astra Zeneca vaccine.
