Hundreds have descended on beachside towns over the past 24 hours as the 5km travel restriction eased

For many it was their first time at the seaside in almost four months and essential retailers in Youghal and other coastal locations say they have noticed the increase in trade.

Many towns in West Cork are also reporting an increase in footfall.

Paul McElduff's coffee stall 'The Wagon' has been located on The Front Strand in Youghal and he told RedFM News that while people are making the most of travelling within their own county they're maintaining social distance:#
