Pieta House report increase in demand for their service Leeside since the pandemic hit
Pieta House say they have seen an increase in demand for their service Leeside since the pandemic hit.
Calls and texts to Pieta’s helpline directly relating to suicide, self-harm and suicide bereavement rose by 25% in December 2020 when compared to December 2019, and the charity says it's expecting the pandemic burden to have farreaching implications throughout 2021.
Pieta House is gearing up for one of the biggest fundraising events of the year, Darkness into Light, which takes place this Saturday May 8th and people are being called on to take part and to donate.
