Blink 182's Mark Hoppus reveals cancer diagnosis

Blink 182 member Mark Hoppus has announced he is battling cancer.

The singer and bassist shared the news on Twitter saying, "For the past three months I've been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. I have cancer. It sucks and I'm scared, and at the same time I'm blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.

"I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I'm trying to remain hopeful and positive.

"Can't wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the near future. Love you all."

The 49-year-old shared a photo of himself in a hospital room on his Instagram Stories with the caption,"Yes hello.One cancer treatment, please."

Hoppus has been a member of the band Blink 182 since they formed in Southern California in 1992, becoming a hugely successful band in the 90's with their tracks "All The Small Things" and "What's My Age Again" selling over 50 million records worldwide.
