“Edges” New Single Release From Inni-K And Tour Announcement
Inni-K (Eithne Ní Chatháin), a now well established presence in Irish music has received consistent praise for her distinct, fresh style of contemporary-folk since the release of her acclaimed debut album ‘The King has Two Horse’s Ears’ in 2015.
“An album designed to make the world a better place, even if just for a moment in time” - State Magazine
Inni-K’s brand new single ‘Edges’ heralds a confident new departure from the Dublin-based singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter: and offers an exciting taste of what’s to come in the form of her next album later in the year. ‘Edges’ was recorded partly in Dublin, and partly at Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris, where Eithne spent a 6-week residency.
‘Edges’ is a daring, vocally rich yet spacious aesthetic; a maturation of Inni-K’s vocal and songwriting abilities; along with the skill of the tight band who have her back – Cormac O’Brien on double bass, and Brian Walsh on drums. The release is accompanied by a beautifully vibrant video by Myles O’Reilly (Arbutus Yarns)
The release of ‘Edges’ will be followed by a 6-date Irish tour by Inni-K and her band:
23 Feb - The Roundy, Cork City :: €12 on the door
24 Feb - Levis, Ballydehob, West Cork :: Pass the Hat
02 March - Cleere’s, Kilkenny :: €12
09 March - The Cobblestone, Dublin :: €12
14 March - The Black Gate, Galway :: €10
23 March - Duncairn Arts Centre, Belfast :: £15 :: Double bill with Ger Wolfe
