Help Raise Funds For A Brand New Cork Film!

Cork Filmmaker Patrick O'Shea is currently running a Kickstarter campaign in an effort to raise funds to complete a new film.

'Why is there anything instead of nothing' is an upcoming feature length documentary from Cork filmmaker Patrick O'Shea and Southernman Films who produced the award winning short doc 'Jackie Oh!!!' about the painting of the Fin DAC mural on the side of the Kino in Cork and the Cork made feature film 'Tree Keeper'.

'Why is there anything instead of nothing' explores the life and work of American/Irish artist Tighe O'Donoghue/Ross who made the horse sculpture, 'An Capall Mór' on the N22 main road from Cork to Killarney and the 16 foot bronze sculpture of St. Brendan in Fenit, Co. Kerry.

Tighe was born in New York in 1942 and achieved great fame and success as an artist in New York in the 1970s. Tighe's ancestors built Ross Castle in Killarney in the 15th Century and his grandfather left Ireland for America in 1905. Tighe moved with his young family to Ireland in 1986 where he continues to work as an artist across all mediums.

While mysterious, Tighe is also entertaining and powerfully engaging. He challenges all commonly held expectations of what it means to be a successful artist and as such a wide audience will be captivated by Tighe and his work.

Cork Filmmaker Patrick O'Shea is currently running a Kickstarter campaign in an effort to raise funds to complete the film and there are a number of amazing art rewards from Tighe available to any interested backers.
