You would have to have been living under a rock the past few weeks to not have heard about First Dates Ireland. Most of the country have surely checked in on the show, even if it's just for a few minutes! Of course many people would have been familiar with the innovative dating show format from the Channel 4 series which the Irish show is based upon. The show has proven to be a huge success for RTE as they are already looking for applicants for a second season even before the first one has finished! It just proves how popular it has been in it's short existence in Ireland!
First Dates Ireland is set in the restaurant in the Gibson Hotel and sees Irish singletons looking for love by going on a blind date. We've already seen some very interesting characters including one couple who already had been on a previous date years before...only in Ireland!
