Love/Hate, Breaking Bad and Narcos Come Together In The Infiltrator
Tom Vaughan Lawlor (Nidge) and Bryan Cranston (Walter White) have joined forces to take on Pablo Escobar's drug empire in new movie!
Tom Vaughan Lawlor and Bryan Cranston are better known for playing Nidge from Love/Hate and Walter White aka Heisenberg from Breaking Bad respectively. Both characters were major players in the drug scene but for new movie The Infiltrator the pair are joining forces to tackle one of the most notorious drug cartel leaders of all time, Pablo Escobar.
Set in the 80's when cocaine was rampant in the U.S. after Escobar began exporting the drug from Colombia, The Infiltrator depicts the true story of FBI Agents Bob Mazur (Cranston), Emir Abreu (John Leguizamo), Kathy Ertz (Diane Kruger) and Steve Cook (Tom Vaughan-Lawlor) as they attempt to take down the Colombian cartel and it's top lieutenant in America, Roberto Alcaino (Benjamin Bratt).
The agents must pose as criminals themselves in order to do this to make sure they gain the trust of the Colombians. They do this by pretending to be money-launderers which inadvertently resulted in a total of 85 indictments of drug lords and corrupt bankers and the collapse of one of the world's largest money-laundering bank, Bank Of Credit & Commerce International.
The movie is set for release in the U.S. on July 15th and we expect to hear an Irish release date soon!
