Taylor Swift's Back Catalogue Returns To Spotify On Same Day Katy Perry Releases New Album

Taylor Swift's music is back on Spotify and other streaming services on the same day that rival Katy Perry releases her new album.

It's one of the most infamous rifts in the pop world at the moment and it looks like it's not going to let up any time soon.

Perry's latest album Witness is her first since her 2013 album Prism. Her fifth studio album which features her latest singles Chained To The Rhythm, Bon Appetit and Swish Swish comes off the back of plenty of promotional television appearances including Carpool Karaoke with James Corden and of course her performance at the recent One Love Manchester benefit concert to raise funds for those involved in the terrorist attack at Ariana Grande's Manchester Arena concert at the end of May.

Her appearance on Carpool Karaoke caused ripples after she opened up on the "beef" between her and Taylor Swift. Speaking about the spat Perry said "She started it, and it's time for her to finish it." She confirmed the feud revolved around backing dancers that both Katy and Taylor had employed.

"I tried to talk to her about it, and she wouldn't speak to me," Perry added. "I do the right thing any time it feels like a fumble. [I got] a full shutdown, and then she writes a song about me ['Bad Blood']… that's how you want to deal with it? Karma."

Today the feud continues with Taylor coincidentally re-releasing all of her back catalogue to streaming services after famously removing them in 2014 on the same day that Perry releases her album.

"In celebration of 1989 selling over 10 million albums worldwide and the RIAA's 100 million song certification announcement, Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalogue available to all streaming services tonight at midnight,” a statement read.

Fans are calling the move by Swift as petty.
